This painting, Day's Eyes Open to Beauty, was inspired by the playfulness of nature, and I wanted to bring that energy into the art. Using vibrant colors and layers of mixed media, I aimed to capture the feeling of a blooming garden under the soft light of day, with flowers that seem to dance on the canvas. As I worked on this piece, I thought about how flowers, like daisies, quietly bloom and thrive even when no one is watching. There’s something so peaceful in that—just existing, yet radiating joy.

As a contemporary artist, I enjoy exploring the contrasts between bright, bold colors and delicate details. I worked in acrylic, inks, and a variety of other textures to give this piece depth, letting the flowers almost pop out against the darker, atmospheric background. It reminds me of wandering through a meadow, spotting little surprises—bees buzzing, leaves fluttering—almost hidden unless you pause to take it in.
