In this scene, a sweet maiden gathers drops of magic from above and enjoys the magical underworld of the garden. For the original piece,I used real pressed flowers that I grew, pressed, and preserved. Cherry Blossoms, dogwoods, Cosmos, Hellebores, and more play in this scene.
The practice of creating artistic scenes with pressed flowers is known as Oshibana. Being a fan of Japanese culture and history, I find great joy in participating in this tradition. Originating in 16th century Japan, this art form entails arranging pressed flowers to form a composition.
